Professor Jessica Rice is an Instructor of Sociology, Criminal Justice, and Law based out of Fort Worth, Texas.
***NOTE: My maiden name is Potter and some of my work is linked to that name.
I have an MA in Sociology and a Juris Doctor.
In my varied career I've been blessed to teach at over 25 Universities and Colleges, in a variety of positions for Sociology, Criminal Justice, and Legal courses. I have lived all over the country and taught in person and online for many years, dating back to 2008.
I am always up for a new teaching challenge. So far I have taught: at research universities, first general college students, early college students, military members in active combat zones, incarcerated felons, and more. My career has been in: VA, WV, Pittsburgh, NC, Chicago, Miami, South Jersey, Philadelphia, and now Fort Worth, Texas.
In my career as a college educator and course creator, I’ve been truly blessed to live my passion. I have taught the majority of courses in the Sociology curriculum, many Criminal Justice and Law courses, and I build courses and create content for both in person and online formats.
I am a passionate Writer.
My fourth book for publisher Kendall Hunt, titled Social Problems: Sociological Solutions released August 2024. My fifth book was released December of 2025.
My 6th book was released late 2025.
I am currently writing my 7th book.
